Demonte Colony 2

Hey mate, I am gonna finish this movie, just 2 mins left.. Then I suddenly remembered that I have to post a blogpost before 12 am. And here I am.

DEMONTE COLONY 2

Best!! I regret that I didn't go to theatre for this film just now watched in HD print absolutely loved it

When part 1 came I watched through DVD player at that time OTT was not there even by watching through CD I really enjoyed part 1 but after announcement of part 2 I felt little bit afraid where director might spoil the part 2 with cringe story like cobra but he came up with absolutely stunning connecting the story with part 1 I never felt bored during movie enjoyed as much as part 1.. Director also used the character wisely and given the screen space to every artist, Priya Bhavani Shankar did really great job

Every crew member really worked hard for this movie that can seen through the visually, CGI only little bit poor but that doesn't disturb much due to story engagement

In this movie, director used reversed criminology with Horror (which is new where many uses psychopath for killing people I hope he didn't give psychopath as a mediator for cult to kill people we are expecting the new kind of human to horror relationship through little scientific basis on how quantum entanglement done in this part)

This movie story is moving from reverse direction where how individuals murdered led to the series of death linking to particular cult interests.

I really loved it. My friend and I were constantly telling that we should have watched it in the theater. Yet, it's okay. Somehow we did not miss it.

So please do watch this Tamil movie mate!!

Peace!

The Intern!

"I still have music in me, absolutely positive about that!"

Since I have my Archaeology exam tomorrow, and I abysmally lack the knowledge to write it, I decided to motivate myself and watched the movie, "The Intern".

The Intern is a delightful, feel-good movie that strikes a perfect balance between humor, warmth, and life lessons.

Directed by Nancy Meyers, the film tells the story of a 70-year-old widower, Ben Whittaker (played by Robert De Niro), who takes on a senior intern position at an online fashion startup run by the driven and ambitious Jules Ostin (Anne Hathaway, not gonna lie, just watched it again for her and her alone... I just Love her so much).

Anyways...

The chemistry between De Niro and Hathaway is simply wonderful. De Niro brings a calm, wise, and likable presence to his role, while Hathaway’s portrayal of a modern-day entrepreneur struggling to balance her personal and professional life is both relatable and inspiring. Their evolving friendship is the heart of the movie and is handled with such warmth and care that it feels incredibly genuine.

The film's message about intergenerational respect and the importance of staying active and relevant, no matter your age, is uplifting. It’s refreshing to see a movie that treats its older characters with dignity and shows the value they bring to the workplace and society.

Visually, the film is stylish and polished, with Meyers' signature attention to beautiful interiors and settings. The pacing is smooth, with moments of light humor seamlessly mixed with more touching scenes that resonate on a deeper level.

I swear to God, I got tremendously motivated, yet I studied only two pages.. But hey, atleast I did it. 🏃🏻‍♀️

Eminently recommends this movie. Do watch it when you feel low mate.

World Teachers' Day!

Everyone's got them, that one teacher that left their mark on their students. Whether they opened their mind to all the wondrous things life has to offer within academia or clamped down on them to teach the value of respect, they will forever be nestled in the memory of a student's foramtive years.

Some of Cinema's best teachers applied their craft across multiple film genres. They range from very serious to lighthearted to straight up whimsical. They have different ways to impart wisdom to their students. Yet, they are all likeable, relatable and unforgettable.

First and foremost, we begin with.. I mean mate you should have known by now..

Okay okay.. It's...

MR. JOHN KEATING (DEAD POET'S SOCIETY)

O Captain! My Captain! Robin Williams' performance in Dead Poets Society is one worth standing on a desk for. The free-spirited and inspirational private school teacher encouraged his students to seize the day and "make [their] lives extraordinary." While the whole film is a love letter to teachers and their power to energise and inspire, it’s the film’s rousing final scene that will have you shedding a tear and mounting your desk in appreciation for this fearless educator. If that's not good teaching we're not sure what is.

MISTER MIYAGI (KARATE KID)

While not the kind of teacher you would meet in a school, Mr. Miyagi from The Karate Kid franchise is as much of a teacher as anyone else here. Because of his patience, diligence, and skill, he taught Daniel LaRusso the art of karate and truly made him into the man we know all these years later in Cobra Kai. His teachings live on, even if the actor who played him, Pat Morita, passed on in 2005.

SEVERES SNAPE (HARRY POTTER)

As someone who loves the Harry Potter franchise, I couldn't make this list without including Severus Snape, played by Alan Rickman is one of his best roles. While Snape was a bit of a jerk to everyone, there's no denying that underneath that, he was an older man with a lot of trauma and someone who did everything in his power to protect the students and those he cared about. Even in the end, he could give Harry his tears to show him that he always loved Lily, Harry's mother.

DEWEY FINN (SCHOOL OF ROCK)

While he initially faked his way into the role, having no teaching experience, Dewey Finn left his impact on his students in School of Rock, so much so that a new program was created for students for music. It's undoubtedly one of Jack Black's best films.

TERENCE FLETCHER (WHIPLASH)

Terence Fletcher, an instructor known for his terrifying teaching methods, discovers Andrew and transfers the aspiring drummer into the top jazz ensemble, forever changing the young man's life.

These are few teachers who has inspired me throughout my life. Furthermore, wanted to pay respect to them as today is "The world Teachers' Day".

Grave torture (2024)

I was out of feel good movies, therefore, I decided to jump into horror. I always wanted to watch the Indonesian movie "Grave Torture" which got released this April. I wanted a Theatre experience, but I missed it. As time passed I watched it in OTT.

In the realm of religion-based horror films, this one stands out as a true gem, mate. Departing from the typical tropes of black magic and cliched plots, it offers a fresh perspective that captivates from  the very first scene. The film excels in creating a chilling atmosphere with its unsettling visuals and effective jump scares, providing a nerve-wracking experience that goes beyond the usual zombie or ghoul fare.

Its impact may vary depending on one's personal beliefs, but there's no denying that this movie prompts deep reflection and leaves a lasting impression, delivering experiences that are both innovative and profoundly unsettling.

I did not expect the movie to be this good. I personally had a different view on the movie after listening to the reviews. But soon after I watched it, I felt that I was wrong. Amd the Director "Joko Anwar", has done a great job.

The craftsmanship in delivering both disturbing and thought-provoking elements is exceptional and earning.

Overall, a thrilling experience.

Please do watch the movie, mate!!

Harmony (2010)

"The loudest harmony from the most humble place"

Mate, that was my prime time. When I was that "Prime me" during 2016, one of my seniors suggested me a movie named "Harmony" which got released in 2010.

My mom used to mention that the last time she saw me cry was when I was 5. I was infact crying for food, not gonna lie. People used the term, "She never cries, such a stone hearted girl" seldom to me.

But that movie, That single movie made my heart melt like a glacier in the holocene period. (Don't get confused with the terms, just wanted to vaunt my archaeology knowledge, my parents are paying for it, innit mate).

Anyways, Aaaahhhhhh.... Harmony...

A feel good 2010 South Korean feature. Focusing a group of women residing in the same room in prison who decide to lift morale & form a choir. At first reluctant to let go of their institutional hold on the prisoners,

the authorities, w/a kindly prison guard, Lee Da-hee, soon let the women (Yunjin Kim, from Lost, Na Moon-hee being the principal players) audition singers for the group & we get glimpses into how they got to prison in the first place (Moon-hee ran her cheating husband & mistress over w/her car & awaits a death sentence w/Kim, who gave birth to a son in jail & raised him there now has to give him up for adoption), w/the final concert, which is nearly derailed when an attendee’s necklace goes missing (& the blame falls on the warbling inmates), finally goes off to great fanfare. Nothing groundbreaking to be sure but the sentiment & well-acted performances are enough to keep a smile on one’s face as we hum along.

My senior suggested me this movie, saying it's a feel good movie. I mean, it is. But he never warned me about the Climax. I was laughing and smiling during the entire movie. But the climax shattered me. I cried.. I cried like a baby. Thank God no one saw it. Nevertheless... This movie still hits me mate.

And once again, please do watch this movie.

Peace!!

Room (2019)

This movie is an absolute thriller. Wow! After a long time have I seen a really great thriller. This is one movie that doesn't take much time in establishing the premise or the story of the movie. Right in the first 15 minutes everything starts proceeding with the right pace. This is NOT A HORROR MOVIE.

There are not ghosts, or scary looking creatures. A very well written script till the end. I was worried if they would be able to give a good conclusion after such an amazing movie, but I was blown away by how smartly the climax has been thought of. There is no chance that you will not like this movie, mate. This movie is probably underrated because of no publicity or maybe the health situation in 2019 restricted it. Nevertheless, this movie deserves a lot of praise.

The movie will also make you question some of the life choices that you make. How a lot of things that we just run after will eventually be of any use or not in life. This movie will surprise you at so many levels that you will completely engross yourself into wanting to know the solution to many situation in the movie.

The movie keeps you guessing the next time. It's really a stupendous screenwriting. Do watch this movie, might affect you psychological. MIGHT. Not more like Incendies, but this has an affect too.

Incendies

"1+1=1"

When people watch the Oscars, they don't usually care about the Best Foreign Film nominees. Incendies provides so many reasons why people should actually get to see those nominees at all costs. Incendies is the kind of film that one walks away from feeling emotionally drained, one where it stays in the viewer's mind for days on end. Like an intense personal experience, it takes a lot to come to grips with the film's story, a moving plot full of twists and catharsis. At the New Directors/New Films Festival in New York, at which I saw this last night, Denis Villeneuve explained that he has made four films in Canada, but this is the first one to be released in America. Right now, I see no reason why Villeneuve, or any of the actors for that matter, shouldn't have a great future ahead of them.

Based on the play Scorched by Wajdi Mouawad, Incendies follows a non-linear plot that spans two generations. In the present day, Jeanne and Simon are twins who have lost their mother, Nawal. Nawal has stipulated in her will that Jeanne and Simon must return

an envelope to the brother they didn't know existed who is currently living in a fictional Middle Eastern country. Only then can the twins give Nawal a proper burial. Jeanne feels obligated to return the letter, so she goes to the Middle East, only to realize some of Nawal's nastiest secrets. As Jeanne uncovers more about Nawal, the viewer is shown Nawal's story. The film builds up to an unforgettable ending that is sure to rock any viewer.

I don't want to spoil the movie by typing further. I guess this introduction is more than enough to watch the movie. This might look like a normal storyline. But hey, trust me mate, the director has the best plots, screenplay, angles and dialogues inside.

I watched this movie in 2018. Moreover, this movie got released in 2010. I regret that I did not watch the movie earlier at the same time I regret watching this movie. It's been 14 years, yet I am still stuck with the climax. I'm not lying. For real, I am still stuck.

Please do watch this movie. Amd if have already watched it and feel okay now. Please do leave the tips on how you overcame the plots. We do appreciate you in advance.

Goodluck with watching it.

Kill Bill

"Revenge is a dish, best served Cold."

“Kill Bill, Volume 1” shows Sir Quentin Tarantino so effortlessly and brilliantly in command of his technique that he reminds me of a virtuoso violinist racing through “Flight of the Bumble Bee” or maybe an accordion prodigy setting a speed record for “Lady of Spain.” I mean that as a sincere compliment. The movie is not about anything at all except the skill and humor of its making. It’s kind of brilliant.

His story is a distillation of the universe of martial arts movies, elevated to a trancelike mastery of the material. Sir Tarantino is in the Zone. His story engine is revenge. In the opening scene, Bill kills all of the other members of a bridal party, and leaves The Bride (Uma Thurman) for dead. She survives for years in a coma and is awakened by a mosquito’s buzz.

The bride, reverses the paralysis in her legs by “focusing.” Then she vows vengeance on the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad, and as “Volume 1” concludes, she is about half-finished. She has wiped out Vernita Green (Vivica A. Fox) and O-Ren Ishii (Lucy Liu), and in “Volume 2” will presumably kill Elle Driver (Daryl Hannah), Budd (Michael Madsen) and of course Bill (David Carradine). If you think I have given away plot details.. Haha! Mate, then you know nothing about Sir Quentin Tarantino. Even if I try to explain the entire storyline, yet you will get a fresh feeling while watching the movie.

The movie is all storytelling and no story. The motivations have no psychological depth or resonance, but are simply plot markers. The characters consist of their characteristics. Lurking beneath everything, as it did with “Pulp Fiction,” is the suggestion of a parallel universe in which all of this makes sense in the same way that a superhero’s origin story makes sense.

I'm in the camp of believing both "Kill Bill" films to be one entire story aka "The Whole Bloody Affair," but the Weinstein Company decided to split them into two and it was actually a blessing in disguise. "Kill Bill Vol. 1" is a story more influenced by Eastern martial arts films as we see Sir Quentin Tarantino's love for Hong Kong and Japanese cinema oozing on the screen, also combining elements of the spaghetti western and wrapping it into a classic revenge tale.

Robert Richardson really kills it with his cinematography that feels extremely cinematic and makes the colors pop like something out of a comic book or manga, while RZA and Robert Rodriguez provides some amazing music for the film that feels proper for the tone.

I mean, you can miss movies, you might even miss the masterpieces of the Cinema. But when it comes to Sir Quentin Tarantino's movies. You gotta watch all of them mate.

The Shawshank Redemption

"Get busy living, or get busy dying."

"The Shawshank Redemption" is a cinematic gem that transcends the boundaries of time and genre, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of its viewers. Prepare to embark on an emotional rollercoaster as this extraordinary film weaves a tale of hope, resilience, and the triumph of the human spirit. When I first watched this movie, I was immensely motivated with life. It felt like there was hope even after the end.

From the very first scene, I was captivated by the enthralling storytelling and flawless

performances that bring the characters to life. Tim Robbins delivers an unforgettable portrayal of Andy Dufresne, a man wrongfully convicted but unbroken in spirit. His transformation from despair to unwavering determination is a testament to the resilience that lies within us all.

Morgan Freeman's portrayal of Red (Andy's wise and weathered fellow inmate), was

Stupendous. Freeman's powerful narration and  profound insights into the human condition add layers of depth to the narrative, immersing you in the profound bond of friendship that develops amidst the confines of Shawshank State Penitentiary. The friendship taught in this movie can never be matched by any other so called friendship movies. The bond thise characters shared amidst them was remarkable.

The movie transcends the prison setting, delving into profound themes that resonate with audiences of all backgrounds. It is a poignant exploration of hope, reminding us that even in the darkest of times, a flicker of light can ignite a wildfire of change. The film masterfully depicts the transformative power of hope and its ability to defy the constraints of circumstance.

Frank Darabont's direction is nothing short of brilliant, flawlessly capturing the essence of Stephen King's original story. The pacing is immaculate, allowing the narrative to unfold at a deliberate and enthralling pace. The cinematography by Roger Deakins paints a mesmerizing visual backdrop, juxtaposing the harsh reality of prison life with moments of breathtaking beauty.

This movie stands as a testament to the potential for redemption and the resilience of the human spirit. It leaves an indelible impact, urging us to reflect on our own lives and the choices we make. The film's enduring message reminds us that no matter the circumstances, we have the power to shape our own destiny and find solace in the smallest moments of joy.

Overall, "The Shawshank Redemption" is a cinematic masterpiece that transcends its prison setting to deliver a universal tale of hope, friendship, and the strength of the human spirit. It is an absolute must-watch that will leave you inspired, moved, and forever changed.

If you have watched it. Congratulations mate, you know Cinema. If you haven't, Congratulations to you too because you discovered one of the masterpieces in the history of great Cinema.

Dead Poet's Society

"No matter what people tell you, words and ideas can change the world - Dead Poet's Society"

The movie, "Dead Poet's Society" got released in 1989. I watched it in 2017. The first time I watched it I wailed pitifully. Huh! I'm narrating it in past tense.. I mean, I still watch this movie and wail pitifully.

The story goes like..

A new English teacher, John Keating (Robin Williams), is introduced to an all-boys preparatory school that is known for its ancient traditions and high standards. He uses unorthodox methods to reach out to his students, who face enormous pressures from their parents and the school. With Keating's help, students Neil Perry (Robert Sean Leonard), Todd Anderson (Ethan Hawke) and others learn to break out of their shells, pursue their dreams and seize the day.

This was the summary given to me, when one of my seniors suggested me to watch this movie. Even the google metioned that this movie belonged to the Comedy/Drama genre. I expected the movie to be completely funny and infact the movie satisfied my expectations until they hit me with the climax.

Neil Perry 🫠. I loved his character and when he broke all the stereotypes, came out and performed on the stage. Man, I was proud of him. But at the end... If you have not seen it, this is going to be a spoiler for you.

⚠️ Read at your own risk. ⚠️

But at the end, when Neil Perry's father did not accept him for what he is. Neil decides to kill himself. And he did. I felt him. I knew the pain....

I KNOW THE PAIN.

He did not have to be this relatable 😒💔

Prof. John Keating took my heart, my kidney, my lungs and everything. He was literally the professor that the place I stay in, wants.... I mean NEEDS. He saved several students' life but could not save Neil. That's Life...

Prof. John Keating, no matter how much he motivates him, no matter if he was like a father figure to Neil. At the end of the day, NEIL'S FATHER'S decision is what matters and it's the fullstop to his passion.

Remember honey, no one can replace your father, mother, brother or sister. No matter how close they are and no matter what they did, Our mom will always be our mom. Our dad will always be our dad. At the end of the day, it's our family, not the family which just says that they will be with you (Oral promises are dangerous to believe).

People may show few, who are close to us and name them as, she is like a mother to you, she is like a father to you. Like, bro! It does not work like that.

Moreover, this... This... This term...

"Second home".. I am allergic to that term.

Brother, your home can only make you feel like home. There's nothing called second home, third home here. Ladies, even if you're married and get into your husband's home. You will only feel that "Home thing" at your own "Home".

Back to Dead Poet's Society..

Neil Perry's death is what makes me howl pitifully. I feel him. I can soulfully understand him. No matter who is with you, if your family does not accept you, what's the point. Furthermore, if your family accepts you and believes in you but you let them down by telling them that you are not strong enough to manage a situation... That guilt is enough to make a grown man kill himself.

It was never Neil's fault. He tried to fight for himself, but instead, the universe took his life. Killing yourself has become funny with all the memes nowadays. Killing yourself is not funny brother. It's a serious issue.

If you have not watched the movie. Please do watch it. Add an interesting factor to your movie list.

Things I learnt from Harry Potter (6)

"I like a quiet life, you know me. - Harry Potter"

After a long gap, I watched Happy Potter and the Half blood Prince. After watching the previous part of the series, I was traumatized after sirius' death. As you know that the series gets darker and darker ( it's not only the title card) I fear watching the rest, since the place I am staying right now will not heal the pain caused by the movie.

You might think why I get syrupy for a fake and an imaginary story. As you know that I am a Cinephile, I relate to the movies. I get lost in the creation and live according to that movie's director's wish. That's how mad I am for Cinema.

But this part, it felt good. Eventhough there were losses and Harry suffered the most, him knowing the secrets of Professor Severes Snape (One of the heroes of Harry Potter known to be a villain) was entrancing. Eventually, Harry gets the idea of how good of a person Snape is. It was gratifying.

Apart from that, Harry stumbles upon a portions textbook (study of magical chemicals) belonging to a person calling himself the Half - blood prince (which was Snape). In an interview, Daniel Radcliffe (the actor who played Harry Potter) mentioned that Harry discovering that text book felt like the first kiss on the cheeks. This demonstrates how deeply he was involved to the project (movie)

Being serious on a thing we love is what I learned today. Snape, eventhough he faced a failed love with Lily

(Harry's mother) and detested James (Harry's father) he never failed to protect Harry. Being true to a person you love eventhough he/she left you, takes immense amount of courage. (It's hard for me, though 😂)

Snape being true to Lily, even after her marriage authenticates the True Love. Daniel arraying his involvement to his character Harry Potter reveals his True Love towards his passion.

"Hapiness can be found even in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light"

This quote from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban gives a realization about life.

HP 6 is a mixture of happiness and sorrows.

Furthermore, Harry discovering Lord Voldy's past was snazzy. The casting crew did a great job in selecting Lord Voldy's childhood actor and the teenage actor. They played it ingeniously.

Do what you love mate and love what you do. Never give up on your True Love bud (it can be your passion, anything you do or a special person).

Further, do not give your friends the Love portion 🚶🏻‍♀️ (A chemical which ostensibly cause the drinker to fall in love with the person who gave them the potion)

Moreover, if you get a book or anything which benefits you, please do make use of it mate 😂

Peace ✌🏻

Things I learnt from Harry Potter (4)

" 'Did you put your name into the Goblet of fire, Harry' he asked CALMLY"

As you know that I am back to India. Unfortunately, of course🙃😂. So to distract my heart from feeling heavy, I watched the fourth movie of the series. "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire".

As I was watching the movie in the airplane and the estimated travel time was only 1hr, I could not complete watching the movie. Hence, I came to the hall and watched the rest, along with my friends. While watching it, I thought my heart would become carefree. Contrary, it became hefty.

The character Cedric Diggory grasped everyones attention. And especially mine. After he (Robert Pattinson) took up as the Character Batman. I loved him even more. Cedric was a charming person. Despite of the fact that he did not stand against his friends who bullied Harry, he was fine. The only mistake he made was falling in love with Cho Chang. She is no match for him (but I am.. No, No, No, delete that joke from your mind. Pleaseeee). But for real, she was not as good as him.

Cedric's death shatters my heart, every single time watch it. It was the first death after Lord Voldy's return. He died knowing nothing. An innocent soul taken away from this world. This made my heart ponderous.

Likewise, this place. In which I am right now. Is killing me. It's making my heart murky.

The major thing I learnt from this movie was that books are better than the movies (only while they turn the books into movies.. okayyy). And I especially learnt that Dumbledore's calmness was put into question by JK Rowling and the directors of Harry Potter.

Was he calm while asking harry about his name bring inside the goblet of fire? Via the book, YES. Via the movie, No, No, definitely Not 😂💔.

Jokes apart, We should have courage. No matter what the situation we are put into, we should have courage. Harry was hated by all, even by his best friend Ron. Yet he took courage and played The Triwizard Tournament. Having courage while everyone's against you is so cool mate.

As I've told before in my blogpost. What's right will always be right. What's wrong will always be wrong. Even if the whole world is supporting for something which is wrong. It can never become right.

Cedric diggory was an excellent example for being a tender-hearted person. He shared the trophy with Harry. He played fair. He was such a gentleman. You know what bud? We can be cool without doing all the bad stuff. Cedric being nice to everyone was attractive while compared to Draco being mean (By the way, I love Draco.. I just told it as an example. Draco is amazing. I Love him). Yet, hey!! Draco was turned into a ferret for bullying Harry, remember? So stop bullying and being mean to people. It's not cool mate... nah huh!!

Okay enough..

These are few major things I learnt from HP 4.

HOPE YOU HAVE GOOD DAY TOMORROW..

Peace ✌🏻

Things I learnt from Harry Potter (3)

"The ones that Love us never really leave us. And you always find them.. In here🫀"

Anddd, you guessed it right. It's the third movie of the series. "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of the Azkaban". Not gonna lie, this is my favourite movie. You know why? Because Sirius Black's character gets his introduction in this.

Sirius Black is my favourite Harry Potter character. Then comes Fred and George. Sirius' character was well written. He balances humour in a charismatic manner. He is a matured character loved by the entire Fandom.

The best part of the movie, I mean the movie did not demonstrate it keenly, but the book did. The line goes like, "Harry believed him". Despite of the fact that the entire wizarding world was against Sirius and believed the false accusations about him, Harry beleived him. (This can be an excellent example for my yesterday's blogpost too)

This movie conveys the importance of family. No matter who we be close with. At the end of the day, it's family who stands for us (I'm getting montage shots of Dom's dialogue in fast and furious. "For Family"). Family can never be replaced by any other individual.

By saying family, it's not just your blood relatives, it's the non blood family too.

For example; your best friends or the famous 'brother from another mother and sister from another mister' people. They are family too. That's how Sirius is related to Harry.

Apart from Harry's family. Ron and Hermione gets into trouble just because they wanna help Harry to escape from all the troubles and especially from Lord Voldy. That's a kind of thing Family does.

The major thing I learnt was to trust Family. No matter what, they rely on us and we on them. Friends are our biggest support and they are the most selfless people. (I know few family members and friends can be toxic, but in my case, my family and friends.. I would rather call all of them as family. So according to my point of view my family's the best. They never left me at any point)

Further, just because the entire world believes in something, it doesn't become right. What's wrong will always be wrong. Same as that, what's right will always be right. If Harry decided to go along with the wizarding world's opinions on Sirius Black, then the story would have been turned. And Sirius would have pulled another Snape (iykyk).

Moreover, Hermione punching on Draco's nose and the trio saving Buckbeak (the hippogriff) was sooo cool.

Anyways, keep your close ones even closer guys. Like how Harry has Sirius, Ron, Hermione and Ron's family. Like Anna from frozen II feels free from all the maturity issues just because she has Elsa, Olaf, Kristof and Sven. Just stay put, believe in each other and be happyyy..

Peace out mate!!✌🏻

Things I learnt from Harry Potter (2)

"Never try to save my life again -Harry Potter"

I watched the movie named "Hostel" today. It was brutal. If you have watched the movie "Saw" then I totally recommend you to watch "Hostel". It's a bit disturbing.

At that point in time, I remembered that I began the Harry Potter Marathon. Thus I watched the Second part. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

I hate snakes. I know hate is a strong word. But not for serpents. They make me feel perturbed. But when it comes to Harry Potter, I indeed love them. As I said yesterday, talking to snakes is not a foreign thing to me. Anyway, I loved it when Harry spoke to the snake infront of the Slytherins (A house in Harry Potter. In case you didn't know). That was a top tier frame. Furthermore, I love the character Dobby (a house elf). Such a sweetheart. It's a shame that the movies did not include enough scenes for Dobby. Because the way he wanted the escape the slavery and how the elfs work at the  kitchen and do arrangements in hogwarts were keenly authenticated in the books. Wish those scenes got into the movies.

Anyways, the major thing I learnt in this movie was "Trust". Harry placed his trust on Professor Dumbledore, when he was down, which was inside the chamber of secrets. As a result, Dumbledore helped him by sending his bird, The phoenix. Dobby was extremely truthful to Harry, which made up his mind into sacrificing himself for Harry. Throughout the series, Dobby keeps on saving Harry's life. The trust the characters had on their loved ones was a well crafted portrayal.

We gotta be careful on whom we trust. We can't trust people on the first hand. People are the venomous animals on the face of the Earth. More than the serpent (Basilisk) in the movie, the Villain, Lord Voldermort was scary, I know that was his soul, yet he was a human before. Comeee onnnn man... Apart from all, Ginny was Scary to the core, like girl what's wrong with you. (Poor girl was captivated, but still. Hello??)

Things I learnt from Harry Potter (1)

"It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live, remember that - Professor Albus Dumbledore"

Since it's September, where Harry officially gets into Hogwarts, I decided to go for a 'Harry Potter Marathon'. I began with the first movie, 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone'. Aahh! The feeling I got while watching it. Nostalgic. I remembered the good old days. My school days in which I was genuinely happy for existing.

While watching the movie, I realized that I had the ability to speak Parseltongue my entire life. For those, who doesn't know what Parseltongue is, it's the language of serpents. I've been talking to snakes too (Iykyk). There's a famous meme on this content. Bet you would've seen it before.

Later, my brain unified Myself and Harry Potter. You wanna know how? I'll tell you.

Harry Potter suffers in the Privet drive, So do I in my college. And Hogwarts is my home here in Sri Lanka. The only difference is that Harry suffered alone in his aunty's house meanwhile I have my friends to suffer along with me.

If I'm not wrong, I'm at Hogwarts now and in a three days of time, I'll be back to Privet Drive 🙃. I never thought I would relate to Harry in this way. I literally feel him. Poor kid.

Furthermore, Hagrid is the most heartwarming character. We need such people in our lives too. I have some gym bros as my friends. They are so big and terrifying, yet when you talk to them, they are literally kids. They are the most sensitive and innocent people you could ever see around. 'Don't judge a book by it's cover'. We can relate this to Harry, Ron and Hermione too. Harry and Ron were too early to judge Hermione.

But I, judge a book by it's cover, because I have respect for graphic designers🚶🏻‍♀️. Gotta respect everyone innit mate.

(Apologize me for that terrible joke, it actually sounded better in my head)

Peace! ✌🏻

The Following

"Keep your nose to yourself honey"

Lately, when I was surfing through youtube, I watched a short. It demonstrated an actress who was covered by blood, which conveyed as a dead body. But seconds later, she woke up and switched off the camera. It was literally like she filmed herself as a victim.

It grabbed my attention. I further searched about it and got the name of the movie.

It movie was "The Following". Unfortunately, it was a Korean Movie. I'm not into Korean stuff. So that I thought of putting back the idea of watching it. Yet, the concept flabbergasted me.

I thought to myself, a movie is a movie, a director is a director. No matter what language they portray their stories in. We gotta appreciate their work. Therefore, I decided to watch it.

It's been 2 days since I watched it. And hey, not gonna lie, it has one of the best plots in the industry.

The movie was a mystery thriller movie. Produced in South Korea. It got released this May 5th. Sir Kim Se-hwi directed it.

The first half of the movie goes on focusing our hero's life and his mysterious hobbies. Those hobbies got him into trouble. Not for a simple one though. He was accused for a murder. The Victim, that heroine was such a sweetheart. By the way she was an Influencer. The hero gets caught in her murder case. Further, to get rid of it he tries to find the real murderer. Then he finds the major twist of the movie. The second half of the movie entirely moves on the heroine's point of view. Apart from the hero and heroine, there's a female character who is a police officer. She nailed it. She astutely played her character. Overall, worth watching.

If you have already watched it. I adore you for your movie selections. And if you haven't, you're not behind, there's more time to become cool. So watch it. Don't miss such movies fellas. It'll change our entire perspective of watching a movie. Don't miss it mate. Let's appreciate their hardwork.

From this movie, we get to learn on keeping up with our own businesses. Poking our nose into other individuals' life will completely ruin your life. Hope those CCTV aunties watched this movie 😒.

Cinema, The most beautiful Fraud

"When People Ask Me If I Went To Film School, I Tell Them, ' No, I Went To Films' "
-Quentin Tarantino

Movies, they are everything to me. When I'm happy, I watch a movie, when I'm sad, I watch a movie, when I'm excited, I watch a movie. Whatever happens in a day, I have to watch a movie. Cinema makes me Happy. It makes me enter into my mind's eye.

It all began with Harry Potter, as both of my siblings are 90s kids, they introduced me into the world of Wizards and Witches. The VFX in it grabbed my attention. Eventually I became a movie addict. As time passed I only watched Hollywood movies. I loved their Screenplay, Story Writing and Camera Movements.

In due course, I began to read the scripts of my favourite movies. Oh wait! I forgot a whole part in between.. My Bad..

** Flashback **

When I was in grade 9, I met a senior who introduced me to the world of Series. He suggested me Breaking bad, Better call saul, Friends, Office, The Middle etc,.. You know, that senior played a major role in my life. After losing touch for... I don't know, I guess, approximately after 3 - 4 years he remembered me and came along from Dubai to Sri Lanka just to watch me play my first Cricket match. That senior was something else. Such a good brother.

Fine, back to the story..

You know, I mentioned a friend in two of my blog posts? I called him 'That one friend'. He was the one who introduced me to Sir Quentin Tarantino. Man, It felt like I rediscovered Cinema. He used to suggest me movies over facebook. I was intrigued and watched it the next second. Not gonna lie, he's got a good taste on movies.

With all interest, last year for our College auditions, I directed a shortfilm representing our hall (hostel), which was the first shortfilm ever to be produced by our hall for college auditions. We got 4th place. (Unknown fact: I had 'that friend's' name on the credits)

That was the first time, I ever read a Movie script. The first script I read belonged to none other than 'Sir Quentin Tarantino'. It was the script of the movie 'Kill bill'. Man, I loved it. I was amused.

** End of flashback **

Apart from Hollywood, only after coming to India, I watched Tamil and Malayalam movies. The movies which were underdogs in Tamil and the praised Malayalam movies had the best story writings ever. (Iykyk)

Arriving to the present, I watched Deadpool and Wolverine today. Yes, as a Marvel fan.. Shame on me for not watching it earlier. But, Jesus, the movie was awe-inspiring.

Fellas.....

Go watch movies, direct movies and short films. Write scripts. Write all your ideas or note it in your phones. One day they'll help you immensely.

And hey! Never suggest movies to a person who doesn't have all ears while you're talking about movies.

(Ps: if you haven't watched all these movies and series' I've mentioned above. Please do watch.)

Peace ✌🏻

Yeah mate. Time to say... Uhm.. Not a goodbye actually. But a bitter full "Bye". It's my 60th day of posting. It's been a...
