I was out of feel good movies, therefore, I decided to jump into horror. I always wanted to watch the Indonesian movie "Grave Torture" which got released this April. I wanted a Theatre experience, but I missed it. As time passed I watched it in OTT.
In the realm of religion-based horror films, this one stands out as a true gem, mate. Departing from the typical tropes of black magic and cliched plots, it offers a fresh perspective that captivates from the very first scene. The film excels in creating a chilling atmosphere with its unsettling visuals and effective jump scares, providing a nerve-wracking experience that goes beyond the usual zombie or ghoul fare.
Its impact may vary depending on one's personal beliefs, but there's no denying that this movie prompts deep reflection and leaves a lasting impression, delivering experiences that are both innovative and profoundly unsettling.
I did not expect the movie to be this good. I personally had a different view on the movie after listening to the reviews. But soon after I watched it, I felt that I was wrong. Amd the Director "Joko Anwar", has done a great job.
The craftsmanship in delivering both disturbing and thought-provoking elements is exceptional and earning.
Overall, a thrilling experience.
