Oh Captain! My Captain!

"O Captain! my Captain! our fearful trip is done.."

I have had several people in my life who illuminated me towards success. By mentioning "who guided me" don't think that they are all elder than me. I have had people of my age and younger than me motivate me to work towards my dreams.

This will probably be a shout-out to a man who was there for me at my lowest point of my life. (But he never knew that he literally saved my life intermittently.)

I first heard the term, "Oh Captain, My Captain", from the movie, "Dead Poet's Society". Later, I saw that term being used to describe, "Dhoni".

My One And Only Captain.

He does not know how deeply he has incentivized me. He taught me on how to live life, on how to not focus on the results but in the process. He taught me to take up failure like a legend. And now, I am not afraid to fail.

Beyond that, the way he handles victory is one of my favourite things of Mahi. I am an expressive individual. Whenever I play cricket and win a match, I will aggressively celebrate tha victory. But as time passed, as I grew up watching Mahi play. I changed myself. The people on the opposite team are also players like me and players who are better than me. A game has both the sides. You either win or lose and sometimes you tie the match.

And now, whenever I win a match, I smile and make my way to my team to appreciate them, then go on to appreciate the opposite team.

Yes, he taught me to become a better player, but more than that, he taught me to become a better Human.

I relate to Mahi and Captain America often.

Mahi, always wanted the people to know him as a good human. Same as that, Captain America earned the tag "Not a perfect Soldier, but a good man."

Apart from the people who know me. I Love how Mahi, who doesn't even know that I exist, inspired me in several ways.
